Donate Life Day began in 2005 as a community
donor awareness event in Jacksonville, Florida.  
The event includes numerous donor and
transplant-related organizations, including
LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services, the Southeast
Tissue Alliance, Nielsen Organ Transplant
Foundation, St. Andrews Lighthouse, Florida Tissue
Services, The Blood Alliance, and others.

Donate Life Day 2007
2008 proved to be another successful year for Donate Life Day.  With dozens of volunteers and transplant recipients on hand to help with
the event's activities and to show their support, it is apparent that the event is gaining strength with each year.  Special thanks to Alison
Rubach, Ann Coppedge, and Steven Binder for all their hard work in making this a successful event.  Thanks also to all the event
volunteers, the participating organizations, our event sponsors, and the staff at the St. Johns Town Center for all their help.  In addition,
we'd like to thank First Coast News for allowing us to promote the event and be a part of their phone bank.  FCN anchor Angela Spears
also continues to be a big part of TRIO's ongoing donor awareness activities, and we thank her for all that she does and all that she
brings to the group.
