Donate Life Day began in 2005 as a community donor
awareness event in Jacksonville, Florida.  The event
includes numerous donor and transplant-related
organizations, including LifeQuest Organ Recovery
Services, the Southeast Tissue Alliance, Nielsen Organ
Transplant Foundation, St. Andrews Lighthouse, Florida
Tissue Services, The Blood Alliance, and others.
Thanks to many great bands, area transplant organizations,
volunteers, the staff at The Jacksonville Landing and DLD
coordinator Steve Vandergriff, we celebrate another highly
successful Donate Life Day.  It was a beautiful day along the
riverfront and a great day to register with the state organ and
tissue donor registry.  Thanks to all who came out!  To make a
