On July 28, 2009 a new online organ and tissue donor registry became available to all Floridians.  Donate Life Florida, the
organization which maintains the registry, has created the website which allows you to
officially register your donor wishes.
You can go online, create a personal profile, and enter your donor wishes.  If you are already on the Florida registry, you may
still go online and create a profile, but you do not need to re-register.  You also have the option of changing your donor
wishes at any time.

The new registry's website is

Online donor registry now open!
2010 TRIO dues are now due.
TRIO of Northeast Florida and TRIO National work hard to provide transplant patients with up-to-date information on issues
that concern the transplant community.   We also promote organ donation, provide support, and advocate for transplant
patients.  Achieving all that requires significant time from our dedicated volunteers.  It also requires money.  TRIO asks just
$10 a year per family for membership dues that go directly to National to help cover the costs for staff, mailing of Lifelines,
and other needs.  That means that TRIO of Northeast Florida survives solely on donations.  Please renew your membership
today and make a contribution to support your local chapter of TRIO.  If you cannot afford the cost of dues and want to
either join TRIO or renew your membership, please contact J.T. Rhodes at 296-9055.  You may renew your membership by
clicking the above "Renew your membership" button.  You can donate by clicking the donate button above.  Thank you!

Saturday, April 3 - 3:00pm - Donate Life Day
Donate Life Day is Saturday, April 3rd at the Jacksonville Landing.  Our day there begins at 3:00PM and will go until closing,
around 10:00.  Plans are well underway and many terrific bands have been lined up to play.  Volunteers are still needed, so
if you're interested, please contact DLD Chairman Steve Vandergriff at 904-234-0466.
You are visitor number
since August 2008.
Donate Life Day 2010 is set for Saturday, April 3rd at the Jacksonville Landing – and April will be here before we know it!

Note that this will be the Saturday before Easter Sunday.  We’ve moved the date up to hopefully avoid conflicts with other
major events, stay within National Donate Life Month, and enjoy some cooler Florida weather.  This year we’ll start later
(around 3pm) and go until closing, and there will only be one performance stage (the large one in the courtyard).  The
launch of the new online Florida organ donor registry (http://www.donatelifeflorida.org) gives us the capability to register
organ donors inside the Landing.

If you are interested in performing, speaking, exhibiting, volunteering, or in any way supporting this tremendous
“celebration of the gift of life” please let me know ASAP.  We certainly appreciated everyone’s involvement & effort in 2009
and hope to have your participation again this year.  Event info is below:
