When Ryan and Katie McGregor first came to a TRIO meeting in early 2008 and not long after his (first) liver transplant, they were as excited to join us as we were to have them. It
didn't take long for them to become very active in our group, as Ryan became our Vice President and both he and Katie not only volunteered for Donate Life Day 2008, but also
recruited family, friends, and co-workers to help out as well. If you don't know the story, just a few months later, Ryan was diagnosed with cancer in his newly transplanted liver, and
was put on the waiting list again. After months of treatment, he was re-transplanted back in March of this year. At the time, all seemed well and it looked as thought he would
have a quick recovery and be back home in just a few days. Since then, he has had numerous medical issues and as of early June, is still hospitalized. We ask for your continuing
prayers for Ryan and Katie. We know how difficult the ride can be for both patient and caregiver.
Ryan has now been hospitalized for over 10 weeks, and as you can imagine, their hospital bills are mounting quickly. A fund has been set up to help them, and we encourage you to

the organization which will be maintaining the registry, has created the website which will allow you to officially register
your donor wishes. Once the site becomes available, you will be able to go online, create a personal profile, and enter your
donor wishes. If you are already on the Florida registry, you may still go online and create a profile, but you do not need to
re-register. You also have the option of changing your donor wishes at any time.
